Pedal The Cause


Pedal the Cause, an annual bike challenge with 100 percent of donations directed to cancer research at the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. It's more than just a ride; it is a collaborative movement towards finding a cure that is powered by the St. Louis community. Join us at Soldiers' Memorial in Downtown St. Louis on October 5-6, 2013 for the event. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved with Pedal the Cause!

RIDE/SPIN: Select one of our five courses to ride or join the spin tent. Ride on your own, start a team with your family, or join an existing team with friends or colleagues.

KIDS CHALLENGE: Sign up for the annual ride for kids ages 3-12 at Soldiers' Memorial. The 1-mile looped course is completely closed to traffic.

VOLUNTEER: Be part of the 700+ army of dedicated volunteers who are the backbone of our event. Find a shift that works for you or volunteer as a group.

VIRTUAL RIDER: Become a virtual rider, create a profile, and fundraise for cancer research. As a virtual rider, you have the option to join your friends, family, or coworkers on a team.

CORPORATE CHALLENGE: Be the ambassador for Pedal the Cause at your workplace and start a team with your colleagues.

CREATE A TEAM: Some of our greatest teams are filled with a mix of riders, spinners, volunteers, virtual riders and kids! And when everyone invites their own networks to join in on the fun, you can build your own community of family and friends that's working together to make a difference.

All courses start and end at Soldiers' Memorial in downtown St. Louis. The Spin Tent will be held in Ride Village at Soldiers' Memorial. The 15, 25, & 50 mile courses offer a mixture of flat and rolling terrain with a few moderate hills. The 75 mile and PTC Century courses are much more challenging with a number of steep climbs.
