An Owl Butterfly invasion is going on at The Butterfly House in Faust Park this month. You can see thousands of the beautiful creatures in the midst of orchids as they share the conservatory during October.

"The Owl Butterflies are always here and we always have a couple orchids, but right now we have over 100 orchids in here and over 1,000 Owl Butterflies. They're just about everywhere," explained Laura Chishom, Butterfly House.

October Owls and Orchids runs through the end of October. Butterfly House is open Tuesday-Sunday between 9am- 4pm. The Butterfly House has extended hours Tuesday so you can see the Owl Butterflies flying around. They like to sit still and feed on fruit during the day.

It costs $6 for adults, $4 for children and admission is free for those two and younger.
