One of the first holiday celebrations is happening this weekend in an historic town known for once hosting a famous guest. With the help of the community the streets of downtown Lebanon, IL will transform into a victorian holiday party. This is the 20th annual Victorian Holiday Weekend and organizers are expecting the biggest party to date.
"The lamp lighter will go shop by shop tapping on the window and the shop owner will light his window instead of course lighting lamps," Christina Dickey, Victorian Holiday Weekend Chairwoman.
The Victorian Holiday Weekend is going on Friday-Sunday in downtown Lebanon. From 5pm-9pm Friday and Saturday there will be carolers, dancers, horse drawn carriage rides and more. Saturday the party starts early. Entertainment for the kids will begin at 1pm with everything from arts and crafts, circus performers and Father Christmas. This is a free event.
