A new asian restaurant is making its mark in downtown St. Louis. Takaya plans to draw in even the non-sushi lovers with their un-intimidating menu and impressive saki list.
The owners of Takaya New Asian have a place in Clayton called Tani Sushi, but they want their new restaurant to have a more extensive menu. You will still find sushi, but you'll also find small plates like sliders and ribs with a Korean twist.
"I think anybody would find something here that they like," explained Simon Rhim, Takaya New Asian, GM.
The extensive saki selection sontinues to grow.
"We're going to try to get our collection up to like 40 which is going to set us apart from any other sushi restaurant definitely set us apart from any other sushi restaurant in Missouri. We're going to have the largest saki collection coming pretty soon," said Rhim.
Takaya is located at the corner of 7th Street and Washington Avenue in the Mercantile Exchange.
