St. Louis ladies have a chance to experience a day in the life of a NFL player. The wives and girlfriends of Rams players are getting ready to help host a new event, "St. Louis Rams Ladies Football Camp."
"We're going to do all kinds of things not only football drills like step overs and passing and catching we're also going to do some yoga, some kickboxing, some stretching all kinds of stuff," explained Jackie Long, wife of Rams Tackle Jake Long.
Participants will learn why the guys tackle various exercises and practice so many drills. Then they'll get a chance to test out their skills.
"I think it's really important to get the women of St. Louis involved with Rams not just the men," said Kandyce Rodgers, girlfriend of Rams Defensive Tackle Jermelle Cudjo.
"I for one do not know all the skills and all the little tricks behind the trades, but you're going to learn a whole lot," said Heather Davis, wife of Rams Quarterback Austin Davis.
There will be drills and exercises for women at all skill levels.
"You're going to be right here on the field at the facility where the players actually play and participate. What better place to learn to play football than here at Rams Football Camp," said Long.
The "St. Louis Rams Ladies Football Camp" is going on Saturday, July 20 from 9am-1pm at Rams Park in Earth City. Tickets are $30. You can get yours at www.stlouisrams.com.
