Chocolaty Banana Overnight Oatmeal

Chocolaty Banana Overnight Oatmeal

 

Ingredients:

1/3 cup regular rolled oats (not quick cooking)
1/3 cup 1% fat chocolate milk
½  banana chunked
pinch of salt
1 tbsp Flax Seed (ground) OR 1 tbsp Chia Seeds (whole)
1/3 cup vanilla non-fat yogurt
handful of chocolate chips or granola (optional)

 

Directions:

In a glass jar OR sealable container, combine all ingredients and shake until all ingredients are incorporated (you can also stir ingredients together).  Store in the refrigerator overnight (or for several hours).  Enjoy cold or heat up in the microwave (1-2 minutes).  Top with a small handful of chocolate chips or granola (optional).

Apple Overnight Oatmeal

Makes one serving

1/3 cup old fashioned oatmeal

1/3 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt

1/3 cup 1% milk

2-3 teaspoons honey

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 an apple

1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

 

Calories: 320; Fat: 4.6 grams, Dietary Fiber: 9 grams, Protein: 13 grams, Calcium: 30% daily value
