This weekend a major art show is taking center stage featuring more than 100 artists from 20 states who represent 14 different kinds of art mediums.
Local artist Jim Irwin prepares to show his Safari Photography during The Fall Art Fair at Queeny Park.
"If I can bring an animal close to somebody and they can see the eyes and see that it's a living being creature and that creature deserves to live and then they start thinking, well they're kind of cool, so I make it into an art form," explained Irwin, Safari Photographer.
The photographer leaves for his 6th safari next month.
"I try to show the personality of the animal maybe interacting in the environment because that really tells you a little bit about who they are."
The Fall Art Fair at Queeny Park is going on Friday-Sunday inside the Greensfelder Recreation Center. For more information visit www.artfairatqueenypark.com To see more of Irwin's work head to www.jimirwinwildlifephotography.com.
