Gregory Carter, 27th Ward St. Louis Alderman
St. Louis (KSDK) -- Friends, family and colleagues will pay their respects to St. Louis Alderman Gregory Carter Friday night.
The visitation for Carter will be at the Layne Renaissance Center at 7302 West Florissant from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A public viewing is 8 a.m. Saturday at Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 5515 Dr. Martin Luther King. The funeral starts at 10 a.m.
Carter will be buried at St. Peter's Cemetery at 2101 Lucas and Hunt.
Alderman Carter served the 27th ward for nearly two decades.
He died in a crash on Highway 370 in St. Charles County August 1. He worked for UPS and when he hit a line of three other vehicles that were stopped in the middle lane because of an earlier accident.
One of the other drivers was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
