St. Louis (KSDK) - You might know the name: Renuzit Air Freshener.

But did you know it's manufactured exclusively at a plant in north St. Louis?

The Henkel is now reinvesting in the plant. A $50 million renovation is underway.

The plant on McKissock Avenue is the only one in North America. In fact, it makes at least one million of the colorful, sweet-smelling Renuzit cones every day.

Located about four blocks east of North Broadway Avenue, the Henkel Plant, the parent company of Dial, employs about 225 people.

The products made at the plant are distributed throughout the world.

The expansion is expected to take about 18 months, and the company is hopeful that the expansion will bring more jobs to north city.

Plant manager Mary Hoffman says if you stack the cones of Renuzit that are produced daily one on top of the other, it would be 80 miles high.
