AVA, Mo. (AP) - The University of Missouri Extension is joining the extreme couponing craze.
Aspiring bargain hunters are invited to a class on Monday at the VFW in in the southern Missouri town of Ava. The class is called "Coupon College - Couponing in the real world."
The extension service says it can be tough to duplicate the extreme savings featured in TV shows. But extension human development specialist Angie Fletcher says it's possible to save money with time and planning.
Fletcher will offer tips on finding coupons, stockpiling, organizing and store policies on couponing.
A nutrition expert also will provide tips on how to plan grocery shopping trips.
