GREENSBORO, N.C. (WFMY) - If you're not on Twitter, you're probably on Facebook. If you're not on Facebook, you know someone who is and you'll want to share this with them: a recent study said young Americans are losing job opportunities because of social media. It also revealed at least 8% of Americans lost a job opportunity and 7% got turned down from a job by what they posted on their social media accounts.
Smartin-Up Your Professionalism's Sindy Martin joined our sister station WFMY News 2's Julie Luck to talk about what you should and shouldn't post on your social media accounts.
Martin says make sure you don't tweet or post about politics or religion. She also reveals you don't want to post anything that would offend anyone at work or someone you know.
