ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - We're in day 14 of the government shut down, and our partners at USA Today are counting it up by the second.
There's new fear that jobs in the private sector could soon take a hit.
Boeing says the shutdown has opened up the possibility for furloughs. There aren't any specific plans in place yet, but they may be necessary if the government issues Boeing any "stop work" orders.
Some Boeing employees also work closely with government agencies, like NASA, so if any of those agencies shut down, it could affect the company.
