East St. Louis (KSDK) -- A 41-year-old Madison County, Illinois man pleaded guilty Tuesday in connection with child pornography charges, US Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois Stephen Wigginton said.
According to court documents, the defendant, Blake Joseph Young, admitted in court that on March 21, 2010, he parked his motor home in a church parking lot in Alton, Illinois and lured a 12-year-old boy whom he knew from church into the vehicle. Once inside the motor home, Young took pictures of the boy's penis and also showed the boy nude photos of another minor's genitalia.
Once authorities learned of this, they obtained search warrants and discovered illicit images on Young's cell phone.
Production of child pornography is punishable with a 15 to 30 year prison sentence. The possession charge carries with it a maximum sentence of ten years in prison. Both charges carry a fine up to $250,000 and supervised release for five years to life.
Young will be sentenced on December 3.
