Madison County, IL (KSDK) - A third man was charged Friday in connection to the murder of an Alton, Illinois man.
On December 7, 2011, Tyler Hoppe as found in his vehicle outside his home on Hampton. He had been shot one time and died at Alton Memorial Hospital.
After a police investigation, 19-year-old Nigel Generally, and 20-year-old Larry Belk were charged with first degree murder and attempted armed robbery.
On Friday morning the Madison County State's Attorney's Office formally charged 21-year-old Hosie Burgess Jr. of Alton, Illinois with three counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted armed robbery.
Burgess is currently in police custody.
Bond has been set at $1 million.
Generally was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal's service December 22, 2011.
Belk remains at large.
