Separate Jefferson County crashes claim two lives

Hillsboro, MO (KSDK) - Two different accidents in Jefferson County Friday have resulted in the deaths of both drivers according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The first crash was around 1:30 a.m. Friday on South Byrnesville Road at Indian Valley according to troopers who said 80 year old Gene Keough of House Springs died after losing control of his pick-up truck and crashing into a utility pole.

Keough was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Later Friday, around 12:45 p.m. troopers say 20 year old Jessi Gregory of De Soto was northbound on Route-V when her car slid on wet pavement, traveled off the road and overturned into a ditch.

Gregory was not wearing a safety belt and was thrown from the vehicle.  She was pronounced dead at the accident scene north of Weathered Stone Drive.
