Murfreesboro, TN (WTVF/CNN) - Thousands of dollars worth of PlayStation 3s were stolen from Amazon.

Thieves took the video game consoles from a new Amazon Distribution Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Detectives say the crooks made their way behind the center and breached the security seal on a full cargo trailer. The trailer's contents were cleaned out.

"Our investigators are currently looking into the theft of electronic items worth more than $20,000," said Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department.

Officials believe the crooks had help from the inside because they knew exactly which truck held the valuable game systems.

Police plant to monitor online auctions and trace any items sold by the serial numbers.
