Frank Zerjav Jr. pleads guilty to tax evasion

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) - A 39-year-old Wildwood man pleaded guilty Thursday to submitting false income tax returns and producing altered records when subpoenaed, US Attorney Richard Callahan said.

According to court documents, Frank "Tiger" Zerjav Jr. submitted false tax returns for the years 2001 through 2004, and submitted false accounting records to evade paying taxes totaling $182,000. Zerjav also admitted to intferfering with the grand jury investigation by forging Quickbooks accounting documents of an entity identified as Advisory Group-West, Inc.

Frank Zerjav Jr., who was indicted in November, pleaded guilty to four counts of tax evasion.

Zerjav will be sentenced on March 26, 2013. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each count.
