ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A famous building in St. Louis was trending on the internet overnight.

The "Saucer building" at Grand and Forest Park Parkway was named one of the top preservation wins of 2012 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The building was first built as a gas station in 1967, and was more recently used as a Del Taco restaurant location.

Developers had planned to raze the structure before the community moved to save the building.

It has since been redeveloped and houses a Starbucks on one side.

A Chipotle restaurant is slated to open in the remaining space.
