St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Two East St. Louis teens convicted of a host of violent crimes including kidnapping and robbery during their November trial will be spending the better part of their remaining days in prison.

Alon Monigan, now 20, was sentenced to more than fifty years behind bars, and his 19 year old accomplice, Raymon Denzmore received more than forty years in prison.

In November, both Monigan and Denzmore was found guilty by St. Louis jurors on charges of robbery, kidnapping, armed criminal action, and resisting arrest for crimes that occurred within a week of each other in January 2011.

Monigan was also convicted of additional charges of assault, attempted kidnapping and robbery.

Police say included in the crime spree, two women were abducted on Washington Avenue in which they were held at gunpoint.

Later that week while police were hot on their trail, Denzmore and Monigan tried to flee police in another stolen car, but a fiery crash into a parked vehicle and the front of a Hooters restaurant at Seventh and Chestnut Streets downtown resulted in both of the suspects being captured.
