ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis' NBC affiliate, KSDK NewsChannel 5, announced Thursday they will be the exclusive provider of Bounce TV.
The station will begin broadcasting the nation's fastest growing and only broadcast television network for African Americans on its digital channel 5.2 and channel 87 on Charter Cable. Bounce TV will air 24 hours a day, seven days a week, featuring a programming mix of movies, live sporting events, documentaries, specials, faith-based programs, off-network series, and original programming.
The launch date for Bounce TV in St. Louis is August 28, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech.
"KSDK is excited to expand our programming and provide St. Louis with Bounce TV," said Lynn Beall, President and General Manager. "Distributing Bounce TV is one more demonstration of KSDK's commitment to St. Louis' African American audience and to the community at large."
This will be the third Gannett affiliate television station to carry Bounce TV, joining WUSA in Washington, D.C. and WATL in Atlanta, Georgia.
Bounce TV was founded by Martin Luther King III, Ambassador Andrew Young and Andrew "Bo" Young III.
