ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A leading anti-hunger advocate is coming to St. Louis to give two free lectures.
David Beckmann, World Food Prize laureate, will be in town Oct. 14 & 15 to speak at the Pfautch Lecture Series at Second Presbyterian Church.
Beckmann's presentation, "Exodus from Hunger: Called to End the Politics of Hunger" addresses the necessity for compassionate care of those in need. He has been president of Bread World Institute since 1991 and leads large-scale campaigns to amplify political commitment to overcome poverty and hunger.
