ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Saturday's game between the Cardinals and Cubs has been rescheduled due to forecasts calling for bad weather.
The game, originally scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m., has been moved ahead to 3:15 p.m.
Widespread rain and thunderstorms have been predicted to move into the metro area by early Saturday evening and increase in intensity through the night.
Due to the lack of time between this final series of the regular season and the start of the postseason, both the Cardinals and Cubs agreed to play the game earlier in the day.
The Cardinals will provide a mailed voucher to all fans who purchased a ticket for Saturday's game, good for a complimentary ticket to a game during the 2014 season. These vouchers will be mailed out to fans whether they attend Saturday's game or not.
Meanwhile, the Down-Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis Walk in the Park and pregame parade will begin at 1:15 p.m. Busch Stadium will open its gates for fans at the same time.
