St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged a 21-year-old local man in connection with Wednesday's officer-involved shooting at St. Louis University Hospital.

The shooting at the hospital occurred around 2:30 p.m.

Police said a man pulled up on the ramp with two passengers in his vehicle who were gunshot victims. When the driver got out of the vehicle, an officer noticed that he had a gun.

An officer fired one shot at the driver, who left the victims at the hospital and drove away from the scene, only to crash into a light standard near the intersection of Kingshighway and Lindell.  Police said the driver had been wounded in the shoulder.  It's unclear if the suspect was shot by police or wounded in the previous incident.

Tevin Martin was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting/interfering with an arrest, and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

The shooting victims from Martin's car were intially wounded in an incident in the 2800 block of Stoddard Avenue around 2 p.m.  The first victim, 21, was listed in critical condition after being shot in the chest.  The second victim, 27, suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the buttocks and arm.
