St. Louis (KSDK) - A 21-year-old man is in custody for a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 70 Monday night.
A warrant for felony leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident-injury, property damage or second offense has been issued against Aaron Bogue of Jefferson County.
Police believe Bogue killed 51-year-old David Bense, a tow-truck driver, on eastbound I-70 at O'Fallon around 9:15 p.m. Monday.
Bense had stopped on the side of the highway to assist a motorist. He was placing cones and flares around the disabled vehicle when he was hit by Bogue.
Bogue continued to drive on eastbound I-70, but was taken into custody a short time later at 11th Street and Salisbury.
He is held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
