South Windsor, CT (WVIT/NBC) - A 22-year-old South Windsor, Connecticut man has been arrested after his ex-girlfriend complained that he had posted inappropriate photos of her on his Facebook page.
The South Windsor woman complained to police on Saturday that John Antonaras had posted two photos of an intimate nature and used her name to label them.
Police said Antonaras and the woman broke up about a year ago and the naked, or near naked, pictures of her were to get even.
"At some point, things went sour and he chose to use this vehicle as a method of getting back at her," said Sgt. Scott Custer, of South Windsor police.
When officers questioned John Antonaras, he acknowledged posting the photos of the victim and sending her unwelcome text messages, police said, and he was charged with breach of peace and harassment in the second degree.
"The law is very clear. When someone posts intimate photos, explicit photos, with the intent of embarrassing or harassing or annoying another person it does rise to the level of breach of peace," said Custer.
Antonaras was released on a $1,500 bond.
He appeared at Manchester Superior Court on Monday and his case was continued until next month.
There was no answer at Antonaras' house.
Police said he has taken the photos down.
