Hillsboro, MO (KSDK)-   A Barnhart woman who was previously charged with forgery and stealing from the Antonia Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization has pleaded not guilty at her arraignment and will return to court in August.

Rebecca Woods; 34, is accused of writing checks from the schools PTO account to herself between January and March 2011totalling nearly $8000 without authorization or intent to reimburse the organization.

Investigators say Woods actually changes the mailing address of the account from the Antonia school, to her home address in Jefferson County.

Antonia School Principal Mark Rudanovich told News Channel 5 last September he discovered Woods had forged his signature on the checks as well as a co-signers signature on a total of six checks she had written.

Police say Woods spending the money on personal expenses, but they would not elaborate specifically on where the money was spent.
