UMSL campus ATM machine theft

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Campus police at the University of Missouri-St. Louis are looking for leads into their investigation of an ATM machine theft.

According to Det. Scot Haywood, a spokesman for the UMSL Police Department, the theft occurred June 28 between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The 800-pound machine was moved out of the building with a dolly and loaded onto a truck or van, Haywood said. The vehicle used to remove the ATM went along the pedestrian walkway leading from the south side of Touhill Performing Arts Center.

The machine is a Diebold Opteva 500, with serial number 110110000521.

If anyone saw the machine being moved or knows who might be involved in the theft, you are asked to contact the University of Missouri-St. Louis Police Department at 314-516-5160.
