Madison County, Ill (KSDK) -- A 35-year-old homeless man is accused of committing six Madison County burglaries.
The Madison County Sheriff's Department said prosecutors charged James Stufflebean with six felony counts of residential burglary.
Stufflebean was arrested on July 13 on burglary related warrants out of Jersey County, Illinois and St. Louis County.
Investigators said the burglaries are related to the growing trend of drug users committing crime to support drug habits.
The sheriff's office recovered items found during the Madison County burglaries and are looking for the owners.
