St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A north St. Louis County man admitted in court Monday that he sold fake tickets to the 2011 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers.

38 year old Christopher James Bruce of the Castle Point neighborhood entered the plea to a charge of misdemeanor theft and was ordered to serve ninety days in the city jail.

Bruce was arrested last October after St. Louis Police say he sold bogus World Series tickets to Game 6 of the Fall Classic to an unsuspecting fan who was unable to get into the stadium to see the game.

Police did not disclose the price the unlucky fan paid to obtain the counterfeit tickets.
