Waterloo, IL (KSDK) - The Waterloo Police Department and the Monroe county Sheriff's Department are investigating three reports about a suspicious white truck in the area.

The first report came July 13 from a mother who was walking with her son and daughter. The daughter was walking ahead of the mother, and a man in a white pickup truck slowed down and stared at the daughter. When the mother approached the truck, the driver sped off.

On July 25 police received a complaint about a man who pulled into a driveway and started asking a 7-year-old girl questions about where she lived.

The man got out of his white pickup truck that had a toolbox in the bed, and asked her another question. The girl ran to a neighbor's home. The man got back into his truck and left the area.

On Thursday, August 9 a man in a white Chevrolet Silverado followed a boy for several blocks. When the boy ran toward a neighbor's house the man sped off.

In all instances the suspect was described as a white man in his 30s or 40s driving a white pickup truck. In the last incident the boy described the suspect as having a mustache and a dog, possibly a lab mix, in the front seat.

Police want to remind the public to report any suspicious activity to the Monroe County Dispatcher at 618-939-8651.
