Steelville, MO (KSDK) - A Crawford County woman charged with involuntary manslaughter in a fatal crash more than two years ago, is now facing more legal trouble.

25 year old Andrea Macier of Cuba was formally charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of the June 2010 incident that killed 26 year old Christopher Bell.

Macier was arrested and charged with an involuntary manslaughter crime several months after she provided police with conflicting accounts of what happened the day the victim died.

Originally, Macier told investigators Bell was driving the car and stopped to relieve himself on the side of Cotton Dodd Road.  Macier claimed at the time she was sitting inside the car when it began to roll forward, striking and running over Bell.

Witnesses told police both Macier and Bell were intoxicated at the time, and Macier was the driver of the car.

When pressed for the truth by authorities, Macier stopped cooperating with police and requested an attorney.  She's scheduled to return to court September 25th on the latest charges.

No trial date has been set in the involuntary manslaughter case which was moved to Wayne County on a change of venue.
