St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis police arrested a man overnight in the 5100 block of Mimika, just 15 minutes after a shooting took place not far away.
Officers responded to the crime scene in the 5600 block of Hiller Place just after 1:00 a.m. Monday and found 44-year-old Lessie Lowe with a bullet wound to his chest. The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time later.
Witnesses told police the victim and another man, a relative, were arguing on the side of a home when the other man pulled a gun and opened fire.
Detectives identified the man they were looking for and arrested the 43-year-old suspect before 1:30 a.m. on Mimika.
Investigators said the two men had been arguing over food. The specifics of that argument were not disclosed.
