Olivette burglary suspect apprehended after foot chase

Olivette, MO (KSDK) - Police in Olivette apprehended a man connected to a recent break-in in the area.

According to Olivette Police Chief Richard Knox, the burglary occurred Sunday, October 14 in the 300 block of Dielman Road. The suspect was wanted for burglary, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

On Thursday, October 18, detectives received a tip about the suspect's whereabouts and went to a residence in the 2100 block of Huntington around 9:45 a.m. The suspect fled the scene on foot, but was finally arrested at 10:15 a.m. in the 9700 block of Page Avenue.

Chief Knox said the suspect is wanted across several jurisdictions for numerous felonies and misdemeanors, including Olivette, Overland and Crawford County.

The suspect's name has not been released, pending formal charges by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
