BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (KOVR/CNN) - A 72-year-old California man is facing charges in a triple-murder case.
Investigators discovered the victims' charred bodies in this stolen car from Sacramento about a week ago. Police say the trio met Don Clark for an undisclosed reason and the meeting ended with all three dead.
Clark lived in a Butte County area shack surrounded by trash and used parts, but he had a pretty good reputation in the community.
"He was such an upstanding man in many ways in this community," said neighbor John Clark.
"Kinda lives off the grid. He does his recycling and has his own way about him," said neighbor Jason Burns.
Authorities say they have a possible motive for the killings, but won't release the information.
