CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA/NBC) - Scott Greenberg came out of isolation at Florida's Pinellas County jail on Monday just long enough to hear the new charge against him.
He's accused of killing his fellow jail inmate, Kelly Harding, by choking him and stuffing toilet paper down his throat early Sunday morning.
"It didn't surprise me at all, he's a murderer," said Pamela Frasard. Greenberg was in jail awaiting trial, accused of killing Frasard's daughter, 26-year-old Jennifer Zale.
Last August police found Jennifer's body at the Kenwood Inn hotel in St. Petersburg. Investigators say she had been beaten, strangled, and choked with toilet paper.
