LA CRESCENTA, Calif. (KTLA/CNN) - A California day care center is shut down after one of the children tests positive for pot.
Roubena Hartounian is the owner of Bina's Family Child Care. Police shut down her facility after seeing the center had no power, broken toilets and was full of rat droppings.
Authorities became suspicious after the parents of a two-year-old girl looked lethargic after they picked her up from the center on Tuesday. A doctor determined the child had THC in her system, which was apparently consumed, somehow, while she was being supervised at the center.
There's no word on the girl's condition.
Hartounian, 50, is in police custody on suspicion of child neglect and endangerment.
