CARLINVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) -Two Carlinville residents are charged after a man was shot in the leg.
Carlinville police were called to the 100 block of Orange Street around 8 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man shot in the leg.
Officers located the 24-year-old victim, who had been shot in the left ankle. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
With help from the Macoupin County Sheriff's Department and Girard Police Department, it was determined the shooting stemmed from an altercation earlier that day.
A vehicle matching the description of the suspect's was pulled over on Shipman Road at Remington Lane, and two women were taken into custody.
Dana S. Manley was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery. Bond is set at $50,000.
Shawn C. Manley, 29, is charged with aggravated battery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 800-352-0136 or the Carlinville Police Department.
