CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WCNC) - Charlotte police have released the 911 calls in the case of the former Florida A&M football player who was shot to death by a police officer.
The caller says she briefly opened the door for Jonathan Ferrell after hearing knocking and her burglar alarm.
She said Ferrell told her to turn off the security system.
Police believe Ferrell was looking for help after he wrecked his car moments earlier, but on the 9-1-1 tape there is no mention of the crash.
