ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to killing a National Guardsman Thursday in court.
Quinton Jackson pleaded guilty to four felony charges, including second-degree murder. He was sentenced to life in prison.
According to police, Jackson and Jacqueline Baron shot Lawrence Valient, of Ferguson, to death outside of his apartment building in 2011. Valient was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan at that time.
Barron has a trial date set for Nov. 18 and also faces four felony charges.
