ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) - An 18-year-old man faces charges in relation to a robbery that happened early Wednesday afternoon in the 1400 block of Lakeshore.
St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar charged Louis Johnson, of St. Charles, with first-degree robbery.
According to St. Charles police, Johnson approached a woman who stood by her disabled car and asked to use her phone. She gave him the phone, and then he turned and asked for her wallet.
Fearing Johnson had a weapon, the woman gave up her wallet, and he fled the scene on foot.
Officers arrested him a few hours later in the immediate area.
Johnson is being held in St. Charles County Detention Center on a $35,000 cash-only bond.
