Belleville, Ill (KSDK) -- Thirteen Belleville West High students went to the hospital after a SUV hit the bus they were riding on Friday morning.
Assistant Superintendent Brian Mentzer said the bus was heading south on Frank Scott Parkway, near West Main. The bus was stopped at railroad tracks, which is required by law, when a SUV rear-ended it.
Seven ambulances transported kids to the hospital and six were taken to the hospital by their parents.
All the injuries were minor. All the children have been treated and released.
There were 44 kids on the bus at the time of the crash.
