CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KSDK) - A Chesterfield teen's bright idea could win her $100,000.
Uttara Chakraborty is a semifinalist in Intel's "Science Talent Search." Her computer algorithm on improving fuel cells was one of 300 projects selected from more than 1,700 entries.
Uttara said her passions for fuel cells first developed as a middle school student at Parkway Central, and grew as she entered high school.
Her research could lead to better ways of powering houses and cars.
Uttara's already been accepted to MIT and plans to become an engineer and research scientist.
