ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A collision between two school buses in north St. Louis Friday morning has left one driver and two children injured.
The crash occurred on Kingshighway at Northland after one of the bus drivers lost control of the bus when the brakes failed.
That bus slammed into the side of the second bus which was southbound on Kingshighway. The driver of the bus that could not stop and two students on board suffered injuries in the collision. Those injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
Investigators said one of the buses was en-route to a St. Louis Charter School and the students in the other bus were on their way to Parkway West Middle School when the accident took place.
In all, there were six students on board the Charter school bus and 22 students on the bus headed for Parkway West.
No names have been released. The investigation continues.
