St. Louis (KSDK) - This afternoon we learned of a new push, to help people around St. Louis get rid of unwanted medicines.

The program provides four collection boxes for prescription and over-the-counter medications.

The boxes would be at four St. Louis County Police precincts.

There is no charge and residents can turn in the medications anonymously.

The goal is to keep medications out of the wrong hands and to protect the environment from improper disposal of medications.
