PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Now there's even an app to program a bionic hand.

Double hand amputee Jason Koger has come to Philadelphia to demonstrate the i-limb ultra revolution. The 34-year-old married father of three from Owensboro, Ky., lost his hands five years ago in an all-terrain vehicle accident.

With his previous bionic hand, Koger says he had to visit a prosthetic office in Texas so a clinician could program different grips. If the grips weren't right, he'd have to fly back.

Now, Koger can use a stylus and an iPhone app to pick from 24 types of grips.

The technology from the British firm Touch Bionics indicates how rapidly the field of prosthetics is changing.
