ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A new program at Saint Louis University Hospital will provide on-site sports medicine care for student athletes at St. Mary's High School, Bishop DuBourg High School, and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The three-year pilot program is in conjunction with Saint Louis University and will offer athletic training services at games and practices at no cost to the community or athletes.
SLU Hospital has hired Bridget Quirk to launch the program, and will work with student athletes in all sports.
"I'm excited to provide comprehensive sports medicine to St. Mary's, Bishop DuBourg and their athletes so they can get back to the field better, faster, stronger," said Quirk.
Quirk is a recent graduate of SLU's Doisy College of Health Sciences.
