KSDK -- A Collinsville, Illinois man and two women were arrested over the weekend and charged in connection to the armed robbery at Fairmont Park Racetrack.
According to Lt. Tom Coppotelli, a Collinsville Police Department spokesman, the robbery took place on the night of November 12 at about 11:30 p.m. The race track was closed at the time of the robbery and no patrons were present.
An employee was held up at gunpoint by one person and ordered to open a safe, Coppotelli said. The employee was not injured.
Surveillance video was made public November 26 and the suspects were arrested Friday and Saturday morning without incident, Coppotelli said. The money allegedly taken in the robbery was recovered.
29-year-old Christopher Tongay, 47-year-old Cathy Lasich and 26-year-old Kathryn Holdener were arrested and charged by the Madison County State's Attorney's Office. They're being held at the Collinsville Police Department pending transportation to Madison County Jail.
