JOLIET, Ill. (AP) -- Lawyers for a man accused of fatally shooting his wife and children say they are waiting for reports from a state police crime scene investigator. Christopher Vaughn appeared briefly Tuesday in a Will County courtroom. One of his attorneys, Gerald Kielian, told the judge he hasn't yet gotten investigative reports compiled by an Illinois State Police officer. The 34-year-old Vaughn has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife, Kimberly, and the couple's three young children. Authorities found their bodies June 14 in the family's sport utility vehicle parked on a frontage road about 40 miles southwest of Chicago. Vaughn and his family were St. Charles County natives. He is scheduled to return to court on April 7. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
