EDWARDSVILLE, IL (AP) -- Police are searching for a third suspect now charged with first-degree murder in the Sept. 7 shooting death of 23-year-old Marvin Steward of Alton.
Twenty-seven-year-old Tyrone Jeremy Rule of Alton, was charged in absentia Wednesday in Madison County Circuit Court.
Two other suspects, 21-year-old Rondell Perry of Alton, and 22-year-old Larrius D. Metts of rural Edwardsville, are being on $500,000 bond apiece.
Alton Police Chief Chris Sullivan said Steward was standing on a street corner early on the morning of Sept. 7 when someone fired at him from a passing car. The shot struck him in the pelvis and penetrated his femoral artery, causing him to bleed to death.
