KSDK -- A last minute continuance was issued in the case of a 50-year-old former St. Louis radio talk show host accused of murder.
Jury selection was expected to begin Monday, but was delayed after a revised psychological evaluation was presented to the court.
Prosecutors charged Leonardo Drisdel with murder and armed criminal action.
Drisdel was accused of beating, kicking and slashing Cassandra Kovack at her residence in the 3500 block of Miami in June 2005. He also is accused of biting her nose and cheek. A knife was found at the scene.
Prior to Drisdel's arrest, he confessed to his wife that he took drugs with Kovack and attacked her because a voice ordered him to kill her, according to St. Louis police.
The jury selection was delayed after a revised psychological evaluation was presented to the court. The reports will be reviewed by both sides of the court.
A hearing has been scheduled for November when both sides will argue about the findings.
Drisdel hosted "The Human Factor" at WGNU Radio.
